Interval Runner is a versatile training application designed for runners looking to enhance their performance through diverse running techniques, including Run-Walk and Continuous Running. The app meticulously records all workouts, displaying them on a map and summarizing totals on a weekly or monthly basis.

With eight distinct routines available, Interval Runner allows users to select the method that best suits their current training needs. For instance, the Fartlek routine is particularly beneficial for those preparing for shorter races, like a 5K, as it aids in speed development. Conversely, the Pyramid routine serves as an effective tool for a brief shakeout run on the eve of long-distance races.

An innovative Familiarize Mode simulates running scenarios, enabling users to understand and practice routines prior to implementation in actual workouts. Each routine provides options to set a one-time warm-up duration before starting and a cool-down period after completion. The app's Basic version features two general-purpose routines—AlwaysRun and RunWalk—alongside six specialized routines: Fartlek, Mile, LongTraining, Progression, Pyramid, and Breakdown.

For runners with specific pace targets, the app allows users to set goals and receive audio notifications during workouts regarding their performance relative to their target pace. Additionally, saved workouts can be visualized on a map and easily exported for integration with platforms such as Strava.

During exercises, users have the option to listen to music, including services like Spotify, while still receiving routine guidance. Interval Runner supports both kilometers and miles and facilitates seamless switching between English and Spanish. Notably, the application operates independently of a website, contains no advertisements, and does not collect user data—merely requiring the runner and their mobile device for operation.
